Modou Tambedou Signs Contract Extension with Nõmme Kalju
P11 Football is delighted to congratulate Modou Tambedou after the Senegalese defender signed a contract extension with Nõmme Kalju, committing his future to the Estonian club until the end of 2028.
The new agreement reflects the outstanding impact Modou has made since arriving at Kalju at the beginning of 2025. Over the past season and a half, the 23-year-old has become one of the club’s most important players, making 46 appearances in the Premium Liiga and consistently demonstrating his quality as both a commanding centre-back and, when required, in a holding midfield role.
Speaking after signing his new deal, Modou expressed his gratitude to everyone at the club.

Nõmme Kalju President and Sporting Director Kuno Tehva also praised the defender, describing Modou as one of the Premium Liiga’s leading centre-backs and an important part of the club’s long-term plans. He highlighted the defender’s professionalism, winning mentality and continued potential, expressing his belief that Modou has all the attributes to earn a move to one of Europe’s stronger leagues in the future.
The contract extension is another significant milestone in Modou’s career and recognition of the progress he has made since joining the club. At just 23 years of age, his best years remain ahead of him, and this new deal provides the perfect platform to continue his development while competing for honours with Nõmme Kalju.
